From elegant classical favorites...
Johann Pachelbel composed his infamous “Canon in D” over 300 years ago, and it remains a wedding favorite to this day. This flexible arrangement can be played full-length to accommodate a full wedding party’s journey down the aisle, shortened to provide a poignant bridal processional, or even serve as a tender recessional piece for a newlywed couple.
…To familiar modern melodies
Originally recorded by Louis Armstrong, “What a Wonderful World” by George David Weiss and Bob Thiele is a favorite for all ages. Hearing Armstrong’s recording is one of the earliest musical memories I have from childhood, and I play this piece at nearly every event to evoke that same calm, joyous celebration of life.
